Some additional features that make Centre Highlights a most desirable experience
Our full touring programme is accredited with Eco Tourism Australia recognising our commitment to environmental understanding, promotion of sustainable best practice, and the preservation and respect of culture.
Saving the best until last – Instead of heading down the main highways to Uluru, and the highlight of an Uluru sunset first. We use the “back door”, heading west along the Red Centre Way through Aboriginal communities and the Mereenie Wilderness Area to Kings Canyon and then south to Uluru avoiding all of the rush and bustle of the crowds. Best of all, we save the highlight to the last – champagne sunset over Uluru.
Our regularly touring includes two Aboriginal Communities both of which offer very different experiences, and both very interesting. Wallace Rockhole highlights the traditional culture with its rock art and petro glyphs, dot art workshops and a friendly, inviting ambience. Hermannsburg highlights the interaction between western and traditional societies and the transition of the people and culture into modern Australia.
Our guests enjoy the company of the same highly experienced professional guide and fellow adventurers throughout their touring programme with us. Engendering the development of a meaningful relationship, and the fluent exchange of stories and information from guides to guests and back again.
Our 3 day Kings Canyon/ Uluru tour and 1 day Palm Valley tour itineraries take us off the highway and onto dirt roads and 4WD tracks to explore the not so obvious beauty and to become fully engage with the outback. |
